Meet the Photographer
Welcome Friend, I am Ashley Hunt
I have been practicing photography for over 12 years, starting with a Minolta film camera in high school. My mother always took pictures of my sister and I throughout our childhood and beyond. I love that I can look back at these photos and relive all the small moments in my life that may have slipped my mind over time. I'm here to help capture these memories, small and big, so you may cherish them for years to come.
A little bit about me
I grew up in Michigan and have spent most of my life there. I ran off to Alaska for a couple of years, a place which now has a piece of my heart, but now I reside back in the mitten state. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Biology. I've worked for Duck's Unlimited doing waterfowl research and for the Michigan Wildlife Conservatory doing fisher and mountain lion research. Being out in nature keeps my spirit whole. I love to travel and explore the outdoors. My garden and my books are where I find peace. (I'm always accepting book suggestions!)
I have two rescue dogs, Frankie & Frosty, and a foster fail rescue cat, Kitten. (by the time I realized I couldn't give him up it was too late to change his name!)
Photography was always my way of telling my story, and I'd love to help tell your story too. I think it's incredibly important to connect with your photographer before booking. Photography is a form of art and I want to make sure my style of photography fits your vision. If you have any questions, or just want to chat to see if we are a good fit, don't hesitate to reach out to me!
